Family-owned since 1977, Tina’s Trees has helped generations of San Fernando Valley families bring home fresh Christmas trees and make lasting holiday memories.
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
A tradition rooted
in family and friends.
Tina’s introduction to the Christmas tree business began while she was still in high school. She worked alongside family friends and neighbors, the Zaferis family, owners of United Melon Distributors. They operated Christmas tree lots near the downtown train tracks and across the greater Los Angeles area.
In 1977, Tina and her husband, Steve Callas, opened their first lot. In those early years, they made frequent trips to United Melon Distributors, picking up small loads of trees to bring back to their growing community of customers.

A neighborhood landmark
After several moves, Tina’s Trees established a popular lot at Ventura Boulevard and Hazeltine Avenue. When that corner was redeveloped, the lot moved to the Moorpark Street side of the block, beside the parking lot of Barone’s Restaurant’s original location. It stayed there for 25 years.
2009–2019 · Sepulveda Boulevard
Following another redevelopment, the business moved to Sepulveda Boulevard, continuing to serve returning customers and new families.
2011 · Hello, Calabasas
Tina’s Trees expanded with a second location in Calabasas.
2020 · Westfield Fashion Square
The Sherman Oaks lot found its current home at Westfield Fashion Square, carrying the tradition into another chapter.
